transavia.com offers various ways to check-in. This way, you can pick the one that’s best for you. Please note the check-in times, too – it’s important that you be at the airport and at the gate on time!
checking in at the website
For fast easy check-in, come to our website:
- check in online from any computer, wherever you are, starting from 24 hours before the departure of your flight
- select your own seat and print out your boarding pass
- no baggage to check in? Simply go straight to the gate
- travelling with hold baggage? Drop off your suitcases (on the day of departure only) at the baggage drop-off point
using the check-in machine
If online check-in is not an option, you could use a check-in machine at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol or Copenhagen Airport. All you need are your booking confirmation number and a credit card or passport.
- it takes just 2 minutes to check in and print out your boarding pass
- available between 2.5 hours and 50 minutes before the departure of your flight
- no baggage to check in? Simply go straight to the gate
- travelling with hold baggage? Drop off your suitcases (on the day of departure only) at the baggage drop-off point
- for an unlimited number of persons (but no more than 6 with the same name)
baggage drop-off counter
If you checked in online or used a check-in machine and still have to drop off your hold baggage, you can just go to the baggage drop-off counter. This is a special check-in counter where you show your boarding pass and then check in your suitcases. Every passenger must hand over his or her baggage in person. The baggage may not be handed over by someone else, not even by someone travelling in the same group. This counter is especially meant for the quick processing of baggage from everyone who has already checked in; for this reason, it accepts no other requests. You can recognise the drop-off counter from the sign above it: ‘baggage drop-off’. Please note that this counter closes 40 minutes before departure. After that time, you cannot drop off your baggage here.
checking in at the airport If both online check-in and a check-in machine are unavailable to you, you can always check in at the transavia.com check-in counters at the airport. The signs at the airport will direct you to the right counters. The transavia.com check-in counters at Schiphol are located in Departure Hall 3. Click on the picture to see the location and how to walk to get there. Below you’ll find more information about the closing times for the counters.
It is very important that you be at the airport in enough time to check in, get through customs inspection and get to the gate. If you arrive at the check-in counter after the indicated deadline, you will no longer be accepted. If this happens, transavia.com will not be responsible for your losses or costs resulting from this situation, and you will lose your right to transport.
Below you’ll find the deadlines for check-in at the various airports:
when departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
When your flight departs from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, you can check in from 3 hours to 50 minutes before departure. The counters close at 40 minutes before departure.
Please note! Due to the busy summer season at Schiphol, you will have to report in at Departure Hall 3 no later than 2.5 hours before departure if you want to check in at a check-in counter. The counters open at 01h30 and close at 40 minutes before departure. What could you do to check in faster and not have to wait so long in the queue?
- Use online check-in that becomes available 24 hours before departure. If you do this, you won’t have to be at the airport to report for your flight until 90 minutes before departure. You can then use the baggage drop-off counter to drop off your baggage. This counter closes 40 minutes before departure.
- Or make use of one of the check-in machines at the airport. Then drop off your baggage at the baggage drop-off counter. This counter closes 40 minutes before departure.
When your flight departs from Paris-Orly, you can check in between 2.5 hours and 60 minutes before departure. The counters close 50 minutes before departure.
when departing from Copenhagen Airport
When your flight departs from Copenhagen Airport, check-in starts at 2 hours before departure and lasts until 50 minutes before departure. The counters close 40 minutes before departure.
when departing from other airports
When your flight departs from an airport other than those listed above, check-in starts at 2 hours before departure and lasts until 40 minutes before departure. The counters close 30 minutes before departure.
