NightlifeNightlife

Salzburg has a surprising selection of bars. As with the restaurants, the traditional items guarantee a successful evening. So go to Salzburg’s fine beer garden, the Biergarten. Try Augustiner Bräu (Augustinergasse 4), where the beer is still brewed by monks, or the Stieglkeller (Festungsgasse 10), part of the Stiegl brewery, with a very fine view. And the list goes on:

Republic

This art café is transformed into a night club in the evening. It is in an old cinema.
Address: Anton Neumair Platz 2

Chez Roland

This bar attracts young students above all from Salzburg’s upper crust.
Address: Giselakai 15

Vis à Vis

One of Salzburg’s most popular bars. The expansive atmosphere reminds you of a night club from the 60s.
Address: Judengasse 13

Kasino

Go to the city’s casino in this castle-type building, situated in the fashionable Schloss Klessheim area, for the “ski holiday with James Bond” feeling. Entrance is free but the dress code is very strict: men must wear a suit and tie. For beginners, there are very enjoyable introductions to most card games.
Address: Schloss Klessheim
