To see
Isla de los Lobos
Nowadays, despite having the name Seal island, you will not find any sea mammals on the beach of this small island. But what you do get, as you make the 3-kilometre ferry crossing, is the feeling of ‘getting away from it all’.Parque Natural Corralejo
Behind the northern holiday spot of Corralejo lies the ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ recreation area of the nature park: 20 square kilometres of rolling sand dunes and unique flora.Ship wreck of the American Star
There is something unnerving and at the same time fascinating about standing eye to eye with the wreck of a stranded ocean liner. Although the sea has claimed a great deal from the SS American Star since it was wrecked in 1994, the bow still emerges defiantly from the shallow water.Address: Playa de Garcey
Lajares
Travel 10 kilometres south of Corralejo to Artisania Lajares, where you can see how the island's famous lace is woven.Address: 14, Calle Coronel Gonzalez del Hierro, Lajares
