The evening usually starts in a bar, where there is often live music. After midnight continue on to a nightclub or disco, dancing till the break of day. The larger towns have modern multi-functional entertainment centres with music cafés, cinemas, venues for bands, and clubs. While visitors of all ages can enjoy these facilities, they do mostly attract the young. While Pula has its own nightlife, the range of entertainment is not as wide as in large cities such as Split or Zagreb. Most of Pula’s entertainment is in the evening. It offers terraces, bars, cafes and pubs, and plenty of live music.

The shops are often open until late. This means that, especially on warm days, the streets are busy and there is a wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately for the real night owls, most people head for home around midnight. If you want to continue your night out, head for Pula’s best known nightclubs, the Rock Club Uljanik and the Disco Piramida.
