Shopping
Those who love to shop will find plenty of options to choose from in and around Split. Marmontova is the main shopping street in Split for designer and name brand clothing and runs from the coast to the Trg Gaje Bulata square, where the National Theatre is located. Here you will find everything from jewellery shops to clothing stores, as well as a good mix of restaurants. The daily Stari Pazar (‘Green Market’) is also located in the city centre. The stalls here sell a wide variety of products, from fruits and vegetables to souvenirs and clothing. The Stari Pazar is open daily from 6:30 am until late at night.
Split also boasts a number of modern shopping centres. The Joker Center is a modern centre that opened in 2007, with more than fifty shops spread over four floors, including supermarkets, clothing shops and even a cinema. There is also a restaurant on the top floor. The complex is only a 15-20 minute walk from the heart of the city.
