Petrinske Sady
One of the most beautiful views on the city can be experienced on the top of the 318 meters high Petrinske Sady, west of the Lesser. You can reach the hill by foot, but the most popular way to climb the hill is by using the cable car. The cable car was built to bring visitors of the Jubilee Exhibition in 1891 to the top of Petrinske Sady. However, the cable car was closed in 1965, because the hill began to collapse by the coal mining. The restoration has lasted twenty years and since 1985, the cable car restarted its operations back to the top of the hill.
