To seeTo see

Take a walk through the Indre By
The Strøget pedestrian promenade is both popular and chic. Via the Jorcks Passage in the centre of Strøget, you reach Fiolstræde and the university area. And via Nytorv you reach the Lars Bjørnsstræde with its special little shops and restaurants.

Tivoli
The classical amusement park of Copenhagen has been located in the same place since 1844. It represents a pleasant mix of childlike enthusiasm and quiet oasis.

Christiania
A vacated military area, housing shortage and anarchy. These are the ingredients that gave rise to Christiania. For many years, this most prominent hate object of Denmark has been characterised by pure hippy nostalgia. This is a community for anyone who refuses to or cannot live in ‘normal’ society. Apart from Tivoli, Christiania is currently the most important tourist attraction of Copenhagen. Guided tours are offered by the residents of Christiania.

Statens Museum of Art
While the Glyptotek is being renovated, the recently refurbished Statens Museum of Art is the most beautiful museum in Copenhagen.
Address: Sølvgade 48-50 Tel: +45 3374 8494

Louisiana Museum for Modern Art
The most frequently visited museum of Denmark is situated in Humlebæk, half an hour by train to the north of Copenhagen. This museum, which is one of the top museums in the world, is located on a beautiful hill on the coast of the Øresund. It hosts interesting exhibitions and has a fantastic park with countless beautiful sculptures.
Address: Gl. Strandvej 13, Humlebæk Tel: +45 4919 0719

Dyrehaven
The most frequently visited location in Denmark is a forest area in Copenhagen-North. Take the train to Helsingør and get off at Klampenborg. There, pastures and grasslands are situated between old oak trees and beech trees. Hundreds of fallow deer and red deer roam about freely. This is an Eldorado for strollers and horsemen. At the entrance, near Fortunport Hus, you can rent horses.
