For the best shopping experience in Copenhagen you should go to the Indre By. Walk along the Strøget and make small excursions into the side streets where you will find most of the interesting shops.

Classic Danish brand names have traditionally had their shops on and around the Strøget. Here you will also find the two large department stores of the city: Illum and Magasin du Nord. The latter department store can currently be reached directly by taking the newly constructed metro.

Illum, the beautiful old department store on the Strøget, has become a shop in a shop – with design shops in fashion and home interiors and a beautiful delicatessen in the cellar.
