The reefs at Marsa Alam are amongst the world's best scuba diving areas. Tourism at Marsa Alam is still at the nappy stage, so there are no over-populated diving points, no busy bazaars and no discotheques. This is Egypt the way it used to be; fine diving with plenty of opportunity of large fish, such as reef sharks, hammer-head sharks and sea cows, and pristine desert. Dive at the top spots such as Elphinstone, Dolphin House and Shaab Marsa Alam.
Don't miss these highlights:
- a diving trip in the Red Sea
- a trip in a glass-bottomed boat
- a camel ride in the desert rounded off with a traditional Bedouin meal
- excursion to Luxor; the Karnak temple complex and the Valley of the Kings with its many tombs and temples of the Pharaohs.
