Shopping
In Bergerac, a farmer’s market is held a few times per week. Once per week you will also be able to visit a biological market. Many more of the towns in the vicinity have interesting shops and markets.
As has happened through the ages in the covered market on the town square of Villefranche-du-Périgord, a picturesque thirteenth-century bastide, a lively trade in mushrooms and chestnuts takes place. You can do the rest of your shopping in the shops of Villefranche where you will also find a bank and a post office.
Alternatively, you can go shopping in the narrow streets around the market square of Belvès, another exquisite medieval town. And while you are there, do visit the church of Moncuq and the gate of the Hôtel de Bontemps.
