The old, historical centre has narrow little streets, where you can find many small shops and eat the most delicious food. You can find the latest French fashion in the beautiful shop-windows of the countless boutiques on the Rue Foche.
Montpellier also still has a tradition of antique trade. And a number of times per week, large markets with colourful stalls selling almost anything are held in the city. If you are more interested in a large shopping centre, then you have to go to Polygone on the Rue Pertuisanes.
