Airport

Aéroport Nice-Côte d’Azur lies 7 km from the centre of Nice. The airport buses leave every 20 minutes between 06h05 and 23h40. A € 4 ticket buys you unlimited travel through Nice for the rest of the day. Taxi prices vary but an updated price list is available at the airport site. Public transport

Buses are an efficient way of getting to know Nice. The timetable and a ticket are provided by the Tourist Information Office. Night buses run until around 1 o’clock in the morning.

Trains are the fastest way of travelling along the Riviera. Nice station lies on Avenue Thier. From there Cannes is only 20 minutes, Monaco 20 minutes and Saint Raphaël 60 minutes.

Taxis are for hire if the taxi-light on the roof is lit.

Most post offices are open from Monday to Friday between 08h00 and 19h00 and 08h00 to 12h00 on Saturdays.

Chemist’s

Surprisingly, pharmacies are called Pharmacie in France and you can easily recognise them by the green cross. If one is closed then generally there’s a note on the door with the address of the nearest colleague who is open that day or night.
