Eating & drinkingEating & drinking

Biarritz offers many places to eat – from simple little cafés to deluxe restaurants with a Michelin star. The food they serve reflects the proximity of both the sea and Spain.

Chez Albert
A fishing village like Biarritz is sure to offer the best seafood restaurants. Chez Albert in the old harbour is very popular, so reservations are necessary, especially during the season.

Blue Cargo
This is the place to order fruits de mer. Located just outside of Biarritz, this might be the nicest beach club in the region. Blue Cargo is a trendy restaurant with a gorgeous waterfront terrace.

Bistro du Haou
If you want a nice modern bistro, this is it. Besides delicious food, Bistro du Haou has a good wine cellar. This bistro is also popular among the locals.

Bar Jean
Biarritz’s proximity to Spain is also reflected in its food. If you like tapas, be sure to visit Bar Jean for lunch, dinner or a drink and a snack.
