Practical information
Check before you depart:
Border formalities
A valid passport or European identity card. The weather
In winter, barometers in and around Grenoble often drop to below freezing point. Combined with the necessary snowfall, this ensures that the environment turns into a real ‘winter wonderland’. In the Alps, snow falls on over ninety days of the year. The high peaks of the Alps are covered in snow all year round. Together with the relatively high altitude of the winter sports regions in the French Alps (in comparison with Austria, for example), this ensures a high probability for snow.Time difference
