The route to this small path is clearly indicated from the city’s tourist office. Here you can walk along the rocks of the coast. Now and then, you must keep a look out for your own bathing beach, far away from the big beaches like Voile Rouge. There are also a number of small sandy beaches. Nice wants to maintain its status as a centre for pop art. In this imposing building you can admire Nice’s leading local artists, such as Ben and Niki de Saint Phalle. The latter has donated 170 of her works. But Andy Warhol, Picasso etc. are also there.Address: Promenade des Arts
Museum Matisse
You will not find Matisse’s greatest works here. But you do get a good picture of the development of his artistic genius from his sickbed as a young man to his tomb behind the museum. The St. Réparate Cathedral
The Cathedral is a masterwork of Baroque architecture. Admire the fine decorations and sculptures in the reviving coolness of the cathedral. On the outside, the view of the sparkling colours of the dome has become one of Nice’s distinguishing features.Address: 3, Place Rossetti
