Destination Toulon
Practical information
Airport
The airport is called Aéroport de Toulon-Hyères and is situated 23 kilometres from the centre of the town. It takes around 20 minutes by taxi.
Public transport
A large part of the old town centre is a pedestrian zone. Bus company RMTT services Toulon and the surrounding area. You can buy bus tickets in the kiosk on the Place de la Liberté. The RMTT bus tickets are also valid for the four ferry services the company offers in the bay. Bicycles can be taken free of charge, provided there is enough room.
Boat tour
A boat tour is a real ‘must’. Take a normal ferry crossing with the RMTT or sail on the SNRTM from Quai Cronstad (from April to the end of October). These round trips take you past the French naval ships in the bay. From Toulon you can also take the ferry to Corsica with Corsica Ferries.
