Musée de la Marine

This is where you can find out about the history of the town, from the life of the galley slaves to pirate attacks led by Redbeard. And don't forget the young captain Napoleon Bonaparte who besieged and reconquered Toulon after it had conspired with the English. Address: Place Monsenergue

Musée d’art

In addition to valuable paintings in the Provençal style, this is also a natural history museum where you can find out everything about the animal life and minerals in this region. Address: 113, Boulevard Maréchal Leclerc

Saunter around the town's most lively town square with an opulent fountain, through the most famous street in the old part of the town to the harbour below. Address: Place du Globe


There are some forty forts along the bay, the oldest of which date back to the 16th century. Fort Balaguier and la Tour Beaumont can also be toured inside.

Cours Lafayette (ook Marché Provence genoemd)

Found at the address of the same name. At this market you will find the entire Provence in a nutshell, as delicious fragrances and aromas come at you from the vegetable stalls.

Le Mont Faron

Majestic mountain with a breathtaking view of the bay. A cable car takes you all the way to the top. Closed on days when the Mistral blows too strongly. You can get information from the tourist information office.
