Good beer is always on tap in Berlin, but it’s also a city of cocktails. During Happy Hour you can enjoy delicious cocktails at a reduced price.

Bar am Lützowplatz

This is the longest bar in Berlin (16 metres), with all of the pleasures that this brings: champagne and Sekt, whisky and top-class cocktails. Customers are just like the bar itself: elegant and discrete. Address: Lützowplatz 7 (the Tiergarten area) U-Bahn: Nollendorfplatz

Behind the almost invisible door, business people and trendy people from the Mitte area jostle for a place. Male photo models mix the cocktails. Dimmed lighting, gay-friendly. Address: Gipsstraße 5 (the Mitte area) U-Bahn: Weinmeisterstraβe

Meeting place for actors and artists, who enjoy a glass of red wine and a cigarillo at the mirror bar. Dimmed lighting, but noisy. Italian snacks. Address: Dresdenerstraße 122, (the Kreuzberg area) U-Bahn: Kottbusser Tor

Victoria Bar

A luxurious addition to the Berlin bar scene. The interior, with its dark wooden panels and styled with modern art, has already won prizes. The loudspeakers play jazz, soul and reggae. Address: Potsdamerstraße 102 (the Tiergarten area) U-Bahn: Kurfürstenstraβe

103 is the meeting place for eccentrics from the Mitte area. People chat here from morning to night. The coffee and club sandwiches are good. A perfect way to have a little break from shopping. Address: Kastanienallee 49 (the Prenzlauer Berg area) U-Bahn: Senefelderplatz/Rosenthaler Platz

discos and clubs

Enjoy house music on the 12th floor of a skyscraper on the Alexanderplatz until the sun comes up. Address: Alexanderplatz 5 (the Mitte area) U-Bahn: Alexanderplatz

When good techno DJs come to the city, this is where you will find them. People dance here into the early hours in the different tasteful areas, which look out onto the river. It’s one of the most renowned clubs in Berlin. Address: Falckensteinstraße 49 a (the Kreuzberg area) U-Bahn: Schlesisches Tor

WMF is an institute. Berlin clubs move every now and again and WMF has done this various times over the years. But wherever it is, the public is young and trendy and there’s a good mix of music.
