Nightlife
Athens is not really a city where one finds many cultivated bars – for this you will have to go to the international hotels. There are, however, many café-bars where anyone is welcome. Often, you can also get a bite to eat, as the Greek are used to ordering a small snack with their drinks. During the summer nightlife moves to Glyfada and Vouliagmenis on the coast.
Grand Bretagne
This bar in the classical old hotel still has the distinguished atmosphere so typical of the turn of the previous century and – after a thorough renovation – it has again become one of the central meeting points in Athens.

The area behind Monastiraki has become an entertainment district, with restaurants, bars and clubs that remain open until late at night. Ask for directions to Astron, Taki 3 or Bee.

Exarchia
The area around the Technical University has a somewhat anarchic reputation. This is where you will find rock clubs such as An, Solomon 13, and Rodon, Marni 24.
