The Central Macedonian airport is located in the Mikra area. The trip from the airport to the town centre takes around 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the traffic. There is also a bus that takes you straight to the centre.

Public transport

Most distances in the town can be covered on foot or by public transport. Feel free to ask the people in your hotel or someone in the street which is the right bus for your destination.

Every chemist’s in Thessaloniki displays a message listing the pharmacies that are open outside normal working hours. Many doctors in the town also have an information board, sometimes with an emergency telephone number.
