NightlifeNightlife

Amsterdam is alive! 7 days per week, you can enjoy a night about town until the small hours. Select one of the typical Amsterdam bars, trendy bars or nightclubs. Amsterdam residents go out early and go home late. Many establishments have a café, bar, restaurant and nightclub on different floors. Trendy, relaxed or sophisticated – you can choose!

Werck

The best bar in the city for after-work on a Friday. Not far from the Anne Frank Huis in the Jordaan.
Address: Prinsengracht 277
tram: tram 13, 14, 17 to the Westermarkt.

De Herengracht

This restaurant has food, drinks and art. Around nine at night, many neatly dressed people in their thirties come here to drink some wine.
Address: Herengracht 435
tram: 1, 2, 5 to Koningsplein.

Helden

Café-restaurant Helden has simple, good and inexpensive food and is an excellent starting point for a pub-crawl. In De Pijp, to the south of the Singelgracht, you will find bars that are very popular with the youth. Nearby you will also find more bars, such as Kingfisher, 18Twintig and Barca.
Address: 1e Van der Helststraat 42
tram: 16, 24 to Stadhouderskade.

The Mansion

The most trendy club in the city and the most difficult to gain entrance to. If you had dinner here you do not need to pay an entrance fee for the nightclub, which opens its doors at midnight. You can also go there at eight in the evening to enjoy a cocktail in one of the three bars.
Address: Hobbemastraat 2
tram: 2, 5 to Hobbemastraat.

11

Restaurant, bar and club on the 11th floor of the former post office. To the east of the Central Station. Take lift nr. 14 at the back. Around dinner time and during the early evening it is a café annex bar, which becomes a nightclub during the weekends. It has a fantastic view across Amsterdam, which is best during the early evening when it is still light.
Address: Oosterdokskade 3-5
tram: Most trams stop at the Central Station. From there you can walk.

Jimmy Woo

The most popular nightclub in the city, but difficult to get in because of the door policy. Good DJs and much action on the dance floor in the cellar. Open from 23h00 to 05h00 in the morning.
Address: Korte Leidsedwarsstraat 18
tram: 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 10 to the Leidseplein.
