Airport information
The Rotterdam Airport, located 8 km to the northwest of the city, can be reached easily with bus 33. A bus trip to the city centre takes about 20 minutes and a bus leaves approximately every 10 minutes from the airport to the Central Station and the other way round. Train
From Central Station in Amsterdam, you can travel to The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and many other cities in the Netherlands. You can buy a train ticket at the ticket-vending machines at the station or at the ticket counter. Tickets are not sold on the train! It is easy to explore Rotterdam: the city has an extensive public transport network consisting of busses, trains, trams, water taxis and the metro. You need a bus and tram card for the bus, tram and metro. For each trip you can stamp the correct number of strips or have it done by the conductor.
