Eating & drinking
Calabrian dishes are simple but tasty. The specialities include marinated and sun-dried vegetables, sword fish, blue-fin tuna and calamari, roasted meat and spicy sausages. In particular, also try the nduja, a soft, strongly seasoned and spreadable salami. Calabria is one of the most important producers of citrus fruit and hazelnuts in Europe and unique desserts are also made with these ingredients.
