The other is Marinella (Riviera di Chiaia 287), a small shop with a tremendous reputation in the area of classic accessories for men, especially silk ties. A large flea market with bargains is held close to the Poggioreale prison from Thursdays to Mondays.

If you are looking for special handmade products, you should head for the Quartieri Spagnoli. This area has the largest number of traditional craftsmen’s shops. It is especially famed for its sophisticated, expensive Capodimonte porcelain, cameos and gouaches. Naples moreover has a tradition in the area of leather goods and gold and silver articles. If you are looking for famous Christmas nativity statuettes made from terracotta, go to Via San Gregorio Armeno. Here you will find all kinds of figurines, all handmade.
