Nightlife
The Romans like meeting each other at half-past seven to drink an aperitivo. They then go to a restaurant or home for the evening meal. What is more, the aperitif need not be alcoholic. Many bars serve small snacks with drinks, included in the price. After 23h00, most party-goers head for the Testaccio quarter. Here, amid the remains of ancient Rome, you will find a large number of locali, small restaurants from piano-bars to discos. Here you will also find the rock-bars of Akab and Radio Londra, the chic South-American Caruso and Rome’s first gay-disco, Alibi.

Gilda
The classic nightclub of Gilda lies in the Spanish Steps neighbourhood. Still always very tastefully fitted out. Attracts a somewhat older clientele in particular.Address: Via Mario de’Fiori 97
