Venice is not a place for those who want to party all night. However, there are many good bars, especially in the Dorsoduro district, but not a real party scene. The young people usually go to Mestre, Venice’s modern sister city, on the mainland. In summer they go to the town of Jesolo, on the water.

Harry’s bar

This is the original; the bar on which all other ‘Harry's’ in the world were modelled. The famous Bellini, the champagne-and-peach cocktail, was invented here. Address: Calle Vallaresso, San Marco. Please be aware that this bar closes at 23h00.

Cafè Noir

Popular with students and always busy. At its best when spontaneous and sometimes wild parties break out late at night. Address: Crosera, Dorsoduro 3805

Piccolo Mondo

A bar with a club atmosphere. Or maybe it is the other way around, a club with a bar atmosphere. Local students also frequent Piccolo Mondo often. Address: Calle Contarini-Corfù, Dorsoduro
