Destination Verona
Eating & drinking
The Veronese cuisine is particularly enjoyable. Most dishes are prepared on the basis of meat, and you must make sure to taste the patissada de caval, a stew of horse meat in red wine with polenta and cooked meat. Many different risottos are also available, like risi e bisi (with peas), or coi bruscandoli (with herbs) and delicious homemade pasta, mainly gnocchi. Don't miss the soppressa all'aglio (salami with garlic).
