In Agadir, temperatures hardly ever drop below 20ºC and in the summer they rise to 35ºC.

Time difference

1 hour behind the Netherlands (2 hours in the summer).

Valid currency is the Dirham (Dr). Cash machines are available, but you should ensure that you always carry sufficient cash with you. Other methods of payment are credit cards and traveller’s cheques.

Transport in Morocco

  • Aeroplane: for the traveller who has less time and a larger budget. Children and students often receive a discount on domestic flights.
  • Bus: for the traveller who has a limited budget. Bus routes connect all of the smaller and larger locations. The road network is pretty good. You can expect to pay 1 Dirham for every four to five kilometres that you travel.
  • Train: for the traveller who has time and demands comfort. The fairly modern railway network connects the major cities. The trains are comfortable and quick.
  • Own transport: for the traveller who wants to be able to visit all of the sights. Some locations are not accessible by bus or by train.
