In Arabic countries, the best shopping opportunities can be found at the ‘souk’ (the market). In Agadir, in addition to colourful earthenware, beautiful carpets and skilful wood carvings, you can also find silver jewellery, hot spices and sweet perfumes. You should take your time when visiting the souk. If you are not prepared to drink tea with the traders or to haggle, you will not only pay too much, but you will also have failed to gain a true experience of the souk.

The Medina d'Agadir Cocco Polizzi was built for tourists by an Italian architect and is situated at a 10-minute bus ride from the city centre. Shoes, scarves, boxes and figurines will be produced right in front of you. A large number of souvenir shops can also be found in the beach area.
