Nightlife
Much of Madeira's nightlife is lived in the street, where many small bands play live music. For theatre and classical music, go to the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Diaz. You can also visit the pubs that stay open late into the evening. In some cafés (Arsênios Restaurant) you can listen to the splendid fado, the Portuguese blues. For a young audience, club Vespas is 'the place to be'. Here, dancing continues from the late evening to well into the small hours. You can also take a gamble at the Funchal casino.
