Airport
Alicante Airport is located 11 km south of the city. The cheapest way to reach the centre is by taking bus C-6. The bus departs every 45 minutes and the journey takes 40 minutes. The same journey by taxi takes 15 minutes.
Public Transport
Trams depart from the centre of Alicante every half hour. They travel to the marina via the train station, and then onwards to El Campello, via Cabo de las Huertas, terminating at the San Juan beach. They are perfect if you want to stay in the centre and want to be able to get to the beach quickly. Buses depart to all cities in the region several times per day.
Taxis
It is easy to hail a taxi in the street. Taxis are fitted with meters for calculating fares, and drivers expect a tip.

Post offices can be found in the station, the bus station and in El Corte Inglés.
Chemist’s
A list of pharmacies that offer out-of-hours services at night and the weekend is available at all pharmacies. This list is also published in all local newspapers.

Opening times
Small, private shops are open from 10h00 to 14h00 and from 17h00 to 20h00. Department stores and larger chain stores are open from 10h00 to 22h00.
