In Alicante, there is something for everyone as far as shopping is concerned, whether you want to buy trendy designer clothing, shoes or items for the home. Ceramics, wooden sculptures and hand-made leather goods are locally produced at both high and low prices.

Market

Market day is every Wednesday. This takes place on the Paseo del Doctor Gadea between October and March. In the summer, it relocates to the Explanada, where you can find practically everything: from clothing and ceramics to trinkets and hand-made baskets. Many market folk originate from Africa and sell interesting wood and leather goods, which mainly originate from Western Africa.

Small, exclusive shops selling ceramics from Agost, bags from Gata de Gorgos, mats from Crevillente, the most up-to-date goods in the field of design and shoes from Elda.

Panoramis

Just to the east of the harbour lies the Panoramis department store. Here you can find various well-known Spanish chain stores, such as Zara. El Corte Inglés is situated at Ave Maison Nave 53.
