Cova de Can Marça

Enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea as you go down to the prehistoric, hidden system of caves that was once used by tobacco and drink smugglers. Stalagmites and stalactites adorn the cave and in the middle lies a 9-metre high waterfall. Guided tours are given here all year round, from 10h30 until sunset. The caves are located to the right of the beach at Port de Sant Miquel, in Sant Miquel.

Dalt Vila

UNESCO has placed the walls of Dalt Vila (the old town) on the list of World Heritage Sites as a monument. They were built in the sixteenth century to protect against invaders. The narrow, paved streets have been well-preserved and at the top of the castle complex, just as at the top of the Santa María Cathedral, the high point of Dalt Vila, a magnificent view awaits you. The eye-catching port, Portal de ses Taules, can be found in the northern wall. It is really worth a visit, as it is a small town on its own.

Diving

Warm, clear water and a great deal of coastline with a rich underwater life make Ibiza a paradise for diving and snorkelling. Caves and shipwrecks form some of the diving sites. There are many professional diving schools along the beaches of Ibiza, but these are sometimes pretty expensive.

Es Canar Hippie market

The enormous market offers a wide range of clothing and trinkets at reasonable prices. If you look carefully, you can still see a number of the original hippies, who started this market in the 1960s. Open every Wednesday from May to October from 10h00 to 19h00.

Voyage of discovery on the island

If you wish to go on a voyage of discovery through the hills of the island which are covered with coniferous forest to remote, hidden caves, you can hire a car, moped or bicycle practically everywhere on Ibiza.

The island of Formentera

This unusual neighbouring island of Ibiza has untouched beaches with crystal clear waters. Buses go to other parts of the island from the small harbour of La Savina, but you can also hire a car, moped or bicycle from one of the nearby shops. A road map can be obtained from the tourist information office in the harbour. A 4000-year-old Ca Na Costa-sepulcrum (grave), the island’s natural beauty, the Es Mirador restaurant and the beaches of Cala Saona, Illettes and Llevant are just some of the sights of the island.
Public Transport: in 30 minutes you can sail from the Ibiza City’s harbour to the harbour of La Savina by ferry.

Beach life

Cala Conta

There is something for everyone here. The beaches are beautiful, the water is a popular snorkelling area, there are all kinds of water sports on offer and there are also a few good bars. Carla Conta lies on the west coast of the island.

Cala d’Hort

In one word – beautiful! It is a peaceful bay, with sun, sand, good restaurants and a beautiful view of the island of Es Vedrá. It is perfect for chilling out!

Cala Llonga

The most beautiful and most popular bay in Ibiza, with a vast sandy beach and all the facilities that you could possibly want.

Cala Mastella

Thanks to its crystal clear waters, Cala Mastella is a fantastic place to snorkel. To the left, you can find a small bar and to the right, the Can Bigotes restaurant.

Cala Vedella

A small, beautiful beach with clear blue waters in the heart of a coastal village. Popular among families.

Platja d’en Bossa

This is Ibiza’s longest sandy beach and home to the Bora Bora bar and the Space club. If you are only able to spend one day here, go on a Sunday.

Ses Salines

A large, white sandy beach, popular amongst young people and the homosexual community. Along the beach you can find a fine collection of bars and restaurants. One side of the beach is a nudist area.
