Pablo Ruíz Picasso airport lies approximately 10 kilometres from the city centre. There are good connections to all of the Costa del Sol. You will reach the centre easily by train, bus or taxi. By train it is approximately 10 minutes and by bus half an hour. The bus and train both leave every half hour.

Regional transport

There are buses from Malaga bus station in Paseo de los Tilos to, amongst other places, Marbella, Estepona, Granada, Córdoba and Seville. Departure times appear at (site in English).

Shop opening hours

Shops are generally open from 10h00 to 13h30 and from 17h00 to 21h00.


Postage stamps are available at tobacconists with the 'Tabacos' sign.


The chemist's is open from 10h00 to 20h30 but has a siesta from 13h30 to 17h00. Farmacia Reding, Paseo De Reding 17 (opposite Plaza de Toros), is one of the pharmacies open 24 hours a day.
