Shopping
Palma is a fine city for shopping. Two areas are particularly suitable for this - the area next to the large El Corte Inglés department store near to the Plaza España, and the area next to the old city centre near the small Corte Inglés in Jaime lll street. The broadly laid out avenues around the Plaza España offer everything from local curiosity shops with tin soldiers to specialist businesses where Serrano ham is sold. Ladies clothing can be purchased in the area around the large Corte Inglés, where Mango, Zara, Berschka, Women's Secret and all the other shops lie close together. Many small, exciting shops and designer names can be found in the area behind the Bar Bosch, opposite the new H&M shop on Plaza Joan Carlos 1, at the centre of Palma. Look, for example, in the Corner Boutique or Miró Jeans, immediately next to the plaza. You will find the best market in Sineu on Wednesdays. There is also an all-embracing shopping centre at Porto Pi in Palma. Here you will find 50 shops including Zara, Mango and Massimo Dutti.
