- Bus: the bus network extends over the whole country. They are not particularly comfortable (except for the long-distance buses), but they are cheap.
- Train: a timetable can be obtained at any TSNCF station. The north-south line from Tunis to Gabes is very good, in particular.
- Taxis: there are grands taxis that are allowed to travel throughout the country. But the regional yellow taxis with metres are cheaper. It is not usual to order a taxi, simply stopping one in the street is easier and cheaper. If it has no meter, you must negotiate the price.
