In Arabian countries, the best shopping opportunities can be found at the ‘souk’ (the market). You should take your time when visiting the souk. If you are not prepared to drink tea with the traders or to haggle, you will not only pay too much, but you will also have failed to gain a true experience of the souk. You will find a little bit of everything there: food (take a look at the butcher!), earthenware, herbs, woodcarvings and of course carpets. The fish auction is also worth a look.
