The nightlife in the centre of Tunis is fairly limited but the little terraces on Avenue Habib Bourguiba are crowded with people until late in the evening. One popular spot to go to in the evening, especially during the summer, is Sadi Bou Said where you can drink mint tea and smoke a hookah in one of the cafés.

Most of the cultural events in Tunis take place in the summer, particularly during the Festival de Carthage.
