Transport
- Bus: Bus travel is very cheap and well-organised. There are excellent connections between all major cities and smaller villages can also be reached by minibus.
- Train: The train is not a popular mode of transport in Turkey, partly due to the fact that the trains are so slow. Train travel is very cheap; therefore only people who cannot afford a bus ticket actually use the train. An exception to this rule is the train journey between Istanbul and Ankara.
- Taxi: Compared to the Netherlands, taxis in Turkey are very cheap. If you wish to make a long journey by taxi, it is a good idea to agree a price with the driver beforehand.
