travelling with a body part in plaster

If you have a body part in plaster you are only allowed to fly if you have a medical certificate that states that you fit to fly with closed plaster cast. If this is not specifically stated, you have to ensure that the plaster cast is sawn through across its entire length, otherwise you will not be accepted on the flight. A medical certificate may be issued no more than 7 days before the departure of your outbound flight. Certain medical conditions are often made worse by travelling in a pressurised cabin.
