Transport to/from the airport

Berlin Airport is located about 8 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    Taxis run all day to and from the airport. They are parked outside the exits of Terminals A, C and E.
  • Bus

    It takes about 15 minutes to get to the centre of Berlin by bus. You can take the TXL Jet Express bus, the X9 Jet Express bus or bus lines 109 and 128.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Berlin:
  • Metro

    The fastest and most convenient way to travel in Berlin is by metro. The U-Bahn is the 'regular' metro network, which takes you almost everywhere in Berlin. The S-Bahn is the network running through the outskirts of the city. 
  • Bus

    You will find bus stops all over the centre of Berlin – many of them in front of hotels. At every bus stop, there are maps depicting all relevant bus routes. In any case, line 100 is one to remember, as it stops at all the sights.
  • Tram

    Berlin has 22 tram lines that run in and around the city. If you have time to spend, take the tram to explore the city. 
  • Taxi

    In Berlin, you can hire a taxi at a taxi rank or hail one on the street. The taxis are cream-coloured.
