Transport to/from the airport

Porto Santo’s airport is located about 16 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside the terminal. These will bring you anywhere on the island. The taxis have meters that start at €4. The taxi fares are higher on weekdays between 9 pm and 6 am and in the weekend.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within and from Porto Santo:
  • Bus

    Porto Santo has a sightseeing bus that goes to all the attractions on the island. It is the perfect way to see a lot of Porto Santo.
  • Taxi

    The taxis in Porto Santo are very reliable. You can hail them anywhere on the street and pick them up at the taxi ranks. Most taxis are at the petrol station on the Dr. Manuel Gregório Pestana Júnior street. Tip! Ask a taxi driver to be your guide. They love showing you their island.
