Transport to/from the airport

Gran Canaria’s airport is located about 8 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi, metro or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside the terminal. The taxi journey to the centre of Las Palmas city costs about €30.
  • Bus

    There are two buses an hour to the capital city of Las Palmas including bus number 60 operated by the Global bus company. You can get out at either Santa Catalina or San Telmo. The bus station at the airport is in front of the departures hall in Zone A.

  • Bus

    The bus company Global operates the buses on Gran Canaria. The island has good roads so you can travel everywhere by bus.
  • Taxi

    You can hail taxis anywhere on the street or phone for them. If the green light of the taxi is lit, it is free. Most taxis have a meter.
