Transport to/from the airport

Mallorca’s airport is located about 10 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    There are taxi ranks outside the arrival hall at the airport. The taxi fare to El Arenal costs €25.
  • Bus

    Do you want to go straight from the airport to Mallorca’s hot spots? Then take bus number 1 outside the arrival hall. Bus number 21 goes to several hotels in the area of El Arenal and leaves every 30 minutes. You can buy a ticket for €3 from the bus driver.
  • Metro

    Mallorca’s metro consists of two lines. The M1 goes to the town of Son Espanyol and M2 goes to the town of Marratxi.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within and from Mallorca:
  • Bus

    If you want to see a lot of Mallorca, the buses are a good way to explore the island. The buses, operated by EMT, are recognisable by their yellow and red colour. 
  • Train

    Do you want to explore Mallorca with an unusual form of transport? There is a historic train that goes to the mountain village of Sóller. Apart from the historic train, there is another train that goes to the towns of Marratxi, Santa Maria del Camí, Consell, Binissalem and Lloseta.
  • Taxi

    Taxis are a common form of transport on Mallorca. The fares are much lower than in the Netherlands. They are perfect if your destination is not in walking distance.

Duration of flight
