Transport to/from the airport

Geneva’s airport is located about 6 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi, bus or train.
  • Taxi

    You will find the taxi ranks outside the arrival hall. The taxis take up to 4 persons. 
  • Bus

    The bus station is within walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2. Buses 5, 10 and F depart every 10 minutes to the city.
  • Train

    The train journey to the centre of Geneva takes about 20 minutes. Like the bus station, the railway station is within walking distance of Terminals 1 and 2. It is only a 6 minute drive to the centre of Geneva.

  • Bus

    Geneva has a reliable bus network. The buses run from 6 am to midnight. Do you want to enjoy Geneva's nightlife during the weekend? No problem! There are night buses.
  • Train

    Do you want to explore the area around Geneva? The train is the perfect form of transport! Geneva has a direct train connection to the important places in the country. 
  • Taxi

    You can easily hail a taxi on the street in Geneva. There are also numerous taxi ranks in the city centre.

There is no time difference between Geneva and the Netherlands. 


The currency used in Geneva is the Swiss Frank (CHF).

Duration of flight

The flight to Geneva lasts approximately one and a half hours. The outbound and inbound flights may be shorter if the wind direction is favourable.
