Hand luggage

You will soon be flying to one of our destinations and taking hand luggage on board. We make every effort to make this a smooth process for everyone. You can help us out with this.

What can you take with you?

Per adult/child, you can take 1 piece of hand luggage of max. 10 kg.

Size

You can choose from two different sizes of hand luggage, namely:
  • Max. 45 x 40 x 25 cm, guaranteed to be transported in the cabin

This piece of hand luggage will get a green label. Stow this piece of hand luggage under the seat in front of you.

OR

  • Max. 55 x 40 x 25 cm, not guaranteed to be transported in the cabin

This piece of hand luggage will get a ruby label. Stow this piece of hand luggage in the overhead luggage compartments. Please keep in mind that in case overhead compartments are full, your luggage could be transported in hold for free.

Please note:
We check the weight and size of your hand luggage, as well as the number of items (max. 1 per passenger), at the check-in desk and at the gate. Your hand luggage will get a green or a ruby label. If your hand luggage fails to meet the guidelines, you will need to buy an extra allowance to check your hand luggage in hold. At the gate you have to pay a fee of €40 per piece.

What are you not allowed to take with you?

Tip: If you want to take shampoo, contact lens solution or other liquids/gels in your hand luggage, you can read more about liquids here.

Extra piece of luggage with the Max fare

If you’d like to take an extra piece of hand luggage with you, we recommend the Max fare. These are the conditions:

1 piece of max. 55 x 40 x 25 cm and 1 accessory, such as a handbag or laptop bag, that fits under the seat in front of you. The weight limit is 10 kg, divided over 2 pieces of hand luggage.

Tip: With the Max fare, you benefit from Priority Boarding, which means you can board the plane first and take both pieces of hand luggage with you in the cabin.

Hand luggage tips

  1. Measure and weigh your hand luggage before coming the airport.

  2. You are allowed to bring 1 piece of hand luggage of a maximum of 10 kg per adult/child.
  3. A purse, laptop bag or camera bag also counts as 1 piece of hand luggage. Combine these before you arrive at the airport, so you are only travelling with 1 piece of hand luggage.
  4. Place valuables such as travel documents, electronics and/or medicines in a separate bag. This way, you can easily remove these items and keep them with you during the flight if your hand luggage ends up being transported as hold luggage.
  5. Are you travelling with a baby or a child? Read more about luggage allowances for babies and children.

Note:
Make sure your hand luggage complies with EU safety regulations.
