Transport to/from the airport

Brussels Airport is located around 15 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or train.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are located outside in front of the arrival hall. The taxi ride from the airport to the centre of Brussels costs about €45. Taxis can be recognised by the yellow and blue emblem.
  • Bus

    There are two bus routes that operate between the airport and the European Quarter. From Monday to Friday, take route 12 to Brussels City. On Fridays after 8 pm and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, take route 21 towards Luxemburg.
  • Train

    The Brussels Airport Express departs up to 6 times an hour from the railway station under the airport and takes you to the centre of Brussels within around 17 minutes.

Travel anywhere within Brussels:
  • Metro

    Travel quickly and easily through the city by metro. The Brussels metro network consists of 4 lines: 1 (purple), 2 (orange), 5 (yellow) and 6 (blue).
  • Bus

    The MIVB is the local bus company in Brussels. Travelling at night? Noctis operates 11 lines from midnight to 3 am on Friday and Saturday night.
  • Tram

    The Brussels tram network has 3 lines that take you to various parts of town quickly and easily.
  • Taxi

    Taxi ranks are located at railway stations and cultural and tourist sites. You can recognise the official taxies by the yellow and blue emblem on the roof.
