Transport to/from the airport

Lyon Airport is located about 28 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi, bus or tram.
  • Taxi

    It takes about 45 minutes to get from the airport (terminal 1) to the centre of Lyon by taxi.
  • Bus

    The Satobus leaves every 20 minutes to Perrache railway station in the centre of Lyon. The bus drive lasts approximately 50 minutes. This is cheapest way to get to the city centre.
  • Tram

    The Rhônexpress (tram/train) stops at Part-Dieu railway station in the centre of Lyon. Here, you can change trams.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Lyon:
  • Metro

    The metro is the fastest way to travel through Lyon. You can buy single tickets or a pack of 10 metro tickets. These are valid for all 4 metro lines.
  • Bus

    There are red and white buses in Lyon that take you to all the sights. They are not as fast as the metro, but they are cheaper.
  • Tram

    There are two tram lines in Lyon. One of them runs from Montrochet in the south to IUT-Fessine in the north. The other line goes from the Perrache railway station in the south-west to Saint-Priest in the south-east of the city.
  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at several taxi ranks in the city. You can also hail a taxi on the street.
