Transport to/from the airport

Rotterdam’s airport is located about 7 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside, in front of the airport. The journey to the centre of Rotterdam takes about 10 minutes.
  • Bus

    There is also a bus from the airport to the city. Bus number 133 will bring you to Rotterdam’s main railway station. You can continue your journey from the station by tram, metro, taxi or by foot.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Rotterdam:
  • Metro

    Rotterdam's metro has five lines, each with its own colour, letter and final destination. The blue line (D) will bring you from Rotterdam’s main railway station to the city centre where you can get off at Beurs station.
  • Bus

    If you want to make longer journeys, a good alternative to the tram or metro is the bus.
  • Tram

    The trams in Rotterdam are fast, reliable and frequent. Another advantage is that you can see a lot of the city from the tram. And you travel from the one sight to the other really fast!
  • Train

    There are several railway stations in Rotterdam. You can travel from one part of the city to another quickly by train from Rotterdam Centraal Station (main railway station).
  • Taxi

    There are plenty of taxis in Rotterdam. You can easily hail a taxi anywhere on the street. There are also several taxi ranks such as at bus and train stations where you can easily hop on a taxi.
