Transport to/from the airport

Katowice Airport is located about 33 km from the city centre. You can travel to and from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi is the fastest way to travel to and from the airport, it takes half an hour. It costs about 160 zloty (about €37).
  • Bus

    Take the Matuszek buses to the centre of Katowice. The journey takes about 35 minutes and costs 44 zioty (about €10). The buses are located outside the airport.

  • Bus

    Katowice has a good bus network run by the KZK GOP organisation. These are very useful for exploring the surroundings of Katowice.
  • Tram

    In Katowice, the tram will take you anywhere you want to go and rides passed all the sights.
  • Train

    You can catch a train in the centre of Katowice to explore other parts of Poland, such as Krakau.
  • Taxi

    You can hail a taxi on the street anywhere in Katowice, or you can walk to a taxi rank, for example by the station.
